♥ A Rough Morning With A Nice Surprise! ♥

I've had a rough morning...my amazing boyfriend had to leave for work again..this time 2 weeks out of town!  I am so not looking forward to him being gone that long, but I know this is all in God's plan for our little family, so I'm really trying not to be too bummed about it!

With him gone, I'll get some things done around the house that I've been wanting to do, but couldn't when he was home because I just couldn't tear myself away from him for too long!  We are a very cuddly, loving couple & when he's home we do A LOT of it!  We are always wrapped up in each other's arms!

Before he left, he came & woke me up & asked if I had noticed what one of the kids had wrote on the bathtub wall.  I hadn't so he told me to go & have a look when I got up & around.  I did & this is what I found:

This totally melted my heart this morning!  I love my little munchkins so much!  They keep me going!

Hope everyone has a nice Monday...I've started a new vitamin pack & OxyElitePro so I'm gaining some energy back...gotta go get some cleaning done while I can!

♥ Review! God's Wisdom for Mothers Compiled By Jack Countryman ♥

I was so pleased when I received this book in the mail a few weeks ago!  God's Wisdom for Mothers Compiled by Jack Countryman is a very uplifting, spiritual book containing many different quotes from the Bible for many different occasions for mothers.

'I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.'
Psalm 32:8

That is one of my many favorite quotes from this inspiring little book of wisdom!  That one is from God Delights in Mothers Who Are...Growing in Him.  There are so many more categories directed specifically towards mothers & the many different experiences that we go through on a daily basis.

This book is a great tool to use when you are feeling a bit down & you need some uplifting words!  You can just open it up & turn to a page & read in no particular order.  I love those kinds of books!

Overall, this book is a great read & I would definitely recommend it to other mothers like me!

I'll leave you with one last quote from the book.

'When I remember You on my bed,
I meditate on You in the night watches.
Because You have been my help,
Therefore in the shadow of Your wings
I will rejoice.
My soul follows close behind You;
Your right hand upholds me.
Psalm 63:6-8

♥ Review! Purex Complete with Zout! ♥

I was so excited to finally receive my Purex Complete with Zout kit in the mail!  I simply couldn't wait to try it out & I absolutely love it!

Purex Complete with Zout combines Purex detergent with the triple-enzyme stain-fighting power of Zout stain remover.  If you have kids, husbands, boyfriends, or just roommates who are always getting stains on their clothes..this product rocks at removing the stains!

This detergent fights stains because Zout contains 3 powerful stain-fighting enzymes & each enzyme targets a different type of stain!  I was impressed with the enzyme called Mannanase which works against guar & guar is used as a thickener in many foods such as ice cream, barbecue sauce & salad dressing & as we all know, those are some tough stains to remove!

The day that I received this product we had barbecued ribs for dinner & for some reason, everytime we eat barbecue, I'm the one that spills it down the front of my shirt!  I just rubbed a little bit of Purex Complete with Zout detergent right on the stain, because it can be used as a pre-treater as well as a detergent, threw my shirt in the wash & no more barbecue sauce stain!  Purex Complete with Zout also works against other stains such as: grass, blood, chocolate & tomato sauce.
I received the Fresh Morning Burst fragrance, but it also comes in Free & Clear which is hypoallergenic for those with sensitive skin.
Purex Complete with Zout is a great product & great on the pocketbook!  It is priced from $3.49 to $7.99 depending on the size and retailer.  Right now it is only available at select retailers, but by the end of this month, it will be available nationwide in stores such as Walmart, Target, Kroger & Publix.
If you want to "Prove it to yourself" that it really works,  you can go here & request a free sample!

♥ I Hate Sleeping Alone ♥

My wonderul, amazing boyfriend pictured here

is out of town working at the moment...& I hate it!
When he's gone, I have trouble sleeping...I toss & turn all night!
He's due back home soon, Thank Goodness, but until then, I will get hardly any sleep!

On a personal note:  Before he left, we had been bickering back & forth about stupid stuff & I was beginning to wonder if maybe we weren't meant to be afterall, but I know that's just not the case because when he's gone...I miss him like crazy & just want him home!

Also, I've come to the conclusion that in relationships I am normally the one that just gives up too easily.  I think that most women have this picture of Prince Charming sweeping them off their feet, myself included, but I am figuring out that that's just not reality, AT ALL!  Most of us grew up reading the fairy-tale princess stories & thought that's what men would be like in real life, but no...it is nothing like that at all!  I'm glad it's not like that actually...how boring would that be to always have a man that could read your mind & say the things you want to hear with never an arguement or a debate about anything!?!  Part of the fun in getting in little tiffs is the making up afterwards!  I bet Cinderella never had any great make-up sex!  Boy was she missing out!

I guess that's it for now!  Thanks for the follow!

♥ A Lil Nervous ♥

As you all know, I have been going to Physical Therapy for my back for almost a month now.

It isn't helping...in fact, it has actually felt worse for the last few weeks.  I went in to see my specialist this last week & he recommended that I go ahead & start the epidural cortisone injections since I don't seem to be getting any better as far as the pain is concerned.
I am so nervous, but at the same time hopeful that I will finally get some relief.  I have been in pain for so long that I don't remember what it's like to not be in pain.  Even the pain medicine doesn't take the pain completely away.  It's always there, gnawing at me, taunting me in a way as if to say 'hey, I'm pain & I'm never going away.'
Along with the pain, now all of my toes, except my big ones, have been going numb...before, it was just my left toes.  The pain, once confined to my left side, has now moved to my right also & seems to be worse than the left-sided pain.  I feel like maybe the physical therapy has aggravated my back more & has possibly done more damage than what was originally there.

I am hoping and praying that these injections work...at least a little...because I cannot imagine living with the pain I have right now, for the rest of my life.  It is affecting my quality of life even if no one can physically see it.  I can walk around right now & if you were to run into me at the store, you probably wouldn't be able to tell that I'm in pain...I'm good at hiding it & I'm good at pretending that it isn't there, but I can feel it constantly & just because I don't walk like I'm crippled doesn't mean I'm not hurting.  Standing up straight, walking around, actually makes it hurt a little less, not a lot, but a little.
If you were to come to my house & watch me try to do my everyday chores, you would be able to see how it affects me on a daily basis.  Sitting here at the computer right now, is killing my back.  Any type of bending over sends me into severe pain & I get stuck & can't stand up straight when that happens.  Loading & unloading the dishwasher is the worst & I try not to do it, but when no one is here to help me, I have no choice but to suffer through it.  I've pretty much given up sweeping, mopping & cleaning the bathtub.
My kids help me out a lot & I hate how much they are having to do for me.  I am their mom & I should be doing most of the housework.  Yeah it's good that they are learning to be responsible and help out but the extent of work that they do around here is just not fair to them.  I don't want them to feel like they are taking care of me when I am the one that should be taking care of them.  It is killing me not to be able to take care of my family.
Please pray that these injections work for me...I am at my wits' end with this pain & I honestly don't know how much more I can take.

♥ My New 'Do! ♥

So, I decided to try & color my hair myself about a week ago.  BIG. MISTAKE.  I totally turned my hair gold & orange!  I seriously looked like Goldie Locks! LoL It was horrible!  I'm so embarrassed I won't even post a 'before' picture!

Luckily, this nice PROFESSIONAL hair stylist had an opening the very next day & even better...she was able to FIX it!!! I am eternally grateful to her!

I will NEVER color my hair myself AGAIN!

Here are a few pictures of my new 'do!

♥ My Horoscope For Today ♥

I'm not real big on horoscopes, but the app I have on my phone is almost always accurate that it's kinda scary!  My horoscope for today reads:

"You would not appreciate the light if it weren't for the darkness.  And right now, Moonchild, you may feel like you are very much in the dark.  Not just because a challenging situation has persisted long past when you should have been freed from it.  And not just because you are confused about why you are experiencing certain difficulties.  You may be feeling forgotten by the benevolent force that rules this world.  But what you are actually experiencing, through a current patch of darkness, is an appreciation of the light.  You are now at the point where it's darkest before the dawn.  Remember these moments.  Soon, it will be dawn."

I have no words.  This touched my heart today.

♥ Super Stoked ♥

My beautiful sister discovered the most amazing church & invited me awhile back.  I had just had surgery not too long before & was still in quite a bit of pain, but I went because something compelled me to go.  I fell in love with Church On The Move!  I had such an emotional moving experience that it brought me to tears almost the whole time.  It pulled at my heartstrings & I felt so much peace & love when I was there...I felt like I belonged there.

I haven't been back since.

I'm disappointed in myself for not making a better effort to go.  I could lay out every excuse in the book of why I couldn't make it to church, but I'm not going to.  Instead, I'm going to start making my best effort to get there from now on.  I know there will be times when I won't be able to make it because of one reason or another & on those days I'm going to make it a priority to watch their online service.

Well, I'm off to get my little family ready for church services tonight!  I can't tell you how happy I am that we are going to be there in person this evening!  :)

Heartbroken

There are some days/nights that I can't help but let the tears flow...it doesn't help to try & stop them because no matter how hard I try...they just keep coming.   It is times like these that I feel the most alone.  I don't know that anyone could ever understand the way that I feel.  I have wonderful friends & family, but when I get like this, I isolate myself.  I know it's not good to do, but I don't know how not to.  I eventually get over it...it may take awhile but gradually things return to 'normal'....whatever 'normal' is!
I have mostly good days with a rough one here and there.  I think I am still in the grieving stage of losing my grandma May of last year...I've always had a problem processing death and letting my feelings flow when they should.  I try to bottle them inside & ignore them.  I hate that about myself.  Hopefully one day I can learn to deal better & lean on a shoulder, but for now I'll lock myself up & get the tears out as they come along.
RIP Grandma...I miss you more & more everyday.

I think I know why this is happening to me...I shouldn't have missed her funeral.  I have no closure from her passing & I didn't get to say good-bye.

I have found a new band that I absolutely love listening to..they lift me up when I'm down.  I've been listening to them all morning & am beginning to feel a little better.

♥ Regret Free Parenting by Catherine Hickem ♥

Regret Free Parenting
Raise Good Kids and Know You/re Doing it Right
By: Catherine Hickem, LCSW
Founder of Intentional Moms

"A mother's purpose is to give all of herself to uniquely impart values, faith, beliefs, and love into the children with whom she's been entrusted.  Embrace the journey of motherhood with the belief that you will empower your children to fulfill the purpose for their creation.  Mothering with purpose is recognizing that your very existence defines love, gives life, protects innocence, believes in the impossible, and views life's struggles as opportunities to enrich your children's lives."

Catherine Hickem takes the principles of mothering & puts a whole new perspective on them.  She has wrote this book basing it on seven principles of intentional motherhood.  The first principle is that mothers must be intentional about their purpose.  It's all about how you view yourself.  The second principle is about the intention of getting to know your children.  It's all about comprehending your children & communicating with them.  The third principle teaches mothers to be intentional about their vision for their children.  It's all about not giving up on our children, unconditional love & vision-keeping.  The fourth principle introduces the need for mothers to help their children develop emotional intelligence & identify feelings.  It's all about the importance of thinking through situations & teaching it to your children.  The fifth principle challenges mothers to be intentional about maintaining their position, their authority and influence.  It's all about understanding the differences between respect and happiness.  The sixth principle is about addressing your fears.  It's about building trust, faith and emotional health in your children.  The seventh and last principle is about being God-dependent.  It's about teaching you how to rely & trust God.

I really enjoyed this book & gained some wonderful insight about raising my children.  I love how the book is layed out & easy to follow.  The author, Catherine Hickem, added personal stories from her own life which makes it that much better.  She really explains her seven principles of intentional mothering in depth & tells you how to put them to use.  There are excellent questions at the end of each chapter, based on that chapter's principle, challenging you to great insight about who you are & how you mother.  My favorite part of the book is the last chapter about how to become dependent on God when mothering.  I believe all mothers worry about how they are mothering & this book teaches you how to be more intentional with your mothering.  I am definitely going to recommend this book to every mother I know!

♥ Review! Purex Complete Crystals Softener ♥

I received my Purex Complete Crystals Softener sample & coupon!  I was so ecstatic to finally try this product out!  I am always searching for good smelling softeners especially the ones whose fragrance is long-lasting.
Purex Complete Crystals Softener comes in 3 different fragrances...Fresh Spring Waters, Lavender Blossom & Tropical Splash.  I received Fresh Spring Waters & I absolutely LOVE it!  It smells wonderful & my clothes smell so fresh & clean for weeks instead of just a few days!

I have very sensitive skin so I try to buy all my products as close to natural as I can.  When I saw that Purex Crystals are 92% natural I was excited!  I've been using it for about a week now & my skin is completely fine!
Purex Crystals are so easy to use!  You just add Purex Crystals Softener at the beginning of your wash cycle when you add your detergent!  The crystals infuse fibers with fragrance, penetrate fabrics to reduce fiber entanglement & smooth frayed fibers so you end up with naturally soft, wonderful smelling clothes everytime you use it!  I absolutely love it!

Not only do my clothes smell nice & fresh for weeks, but they look great too!  Purex Complete Crystals Softener is the only softener I will use from now on!  I love that I can just throw it in at the beginning of my wash cycle & let it work it's magic!  I love when I open my dryer & I smell nothing but fresh, clean clothes & they feel so amazingly soft!  I have never used a softener whose fragrance has lasted so long...it's just amazing!
